I may be just one "old Millennial" but I want America's youth to know this: I (and so many others) believe in you. We believe in your future. We believe that you have so much to learn, love, and experience.

that sees its future as ominous and life itself as a burden, rather than a blessing; a road to pain and suffering, rather than love and amazement.

Too often, youth today hear adults telling them that Earth will be "uninhabitable", that human civilization will "crumble", and that maybe it "isn't OK to have kids" at all. These arguments are not only counterproductive, they are a superhighway to an anxious generation.

I coach my kindergartener's soccer team and one of the most amazing and inspiring things about 5-6 year olds is their joy at building relationships, making friends, and *being together*. This is who human beings are. It is deep in our bones and modernity has alienated us from it.

"She doesn’t want to work, or make money, or have children, or be with anyone really." Solo suffering, by adolescents and adults, is a crisis. We need one another -- not on this website, but in *real life* with tactile, human relationships. Short https://t.co/HvFYAHIDJV

The women I "escorted" to Planned Parenthood as a volunteer sought basic health care. The women who visited "crisis pregnancy centers" (that we at the ACLU fought to hold accountable) sought basic health care. Everyone in America should have access to basic health care. https://t.co/PjAbUdp24p

Saturdays are for family friendly campaigning. Spring Craft Fair in Roseburg had something for everyone -- @DC_OR_Democrats leading the charge for our communities and extremely colorful sock puppets. Douglas County is ready for a new generation of leadership in D.C.! https://t.co/BxO1u4GK5O

So many people are committed to doing exactly that—giving their time, talents, and passion to make the community more just, more equitable, and more prosperous. I was fortunate to host a great group @7DevilsBrewery. https://t.co/jNPYQIBGwN

I feel so lucky to be an American and that good fortunate carries an obligation to never give up—on each other; on our nation; on our potential to make the world better. Thank you, Coos County. See you soon. AK https://t.co/FKWIx0EAPI

Americans need to be prepared to sacrifice for our fellow human beings in their time of need and we need leaders who have the courage to ask for such sacrifice. A bit more about that here. https://t.co/wqUToEti9P 5/x

As a member of the @TrumanProject I have learned first-hand from experts (many of whom served our country with honor in uniform) about the need to organize progressives on issues of national security and foreign policy. 6/x

I reject the isolationism that has recurred across American history. The oceans that buffet our shores do not absolve us from our responsibility to lead on the world stage on everything from climate and public health to diplomacy and defending democracy. 2/x

One challenge is the very phrase "foreign policy" suggests something far away from the everyday experience of Americans, when the truth is that global instability has substantial consequences on our lives, from the price at the pump to our ability to export products abroad. 7/x

So many terrific questions from @UODemocrats last night, from climate & college debt to housing and rebuilding our democracy. But today, in light of the attack on Ukraine, I want to focus on one in particular: my views on US foreign policy. Read more here. https://t.co/Teok40J3oa

@AndrewKalloch
That doesn't mean a military-first, unilateral approach. What it does mean is concrete and consistent action in the diplomatic sphere and, when necessary, military support for our allies in need. 3/x
