This month, we recognize some of our nation’s most treasured assets, our parks and recreation facilities, departments, and those who work to improve the outdoors. Parks are essential areas for happy and healthy communities, and I encourage everyone to help take care of our parks! https://t.co/dEfztKQw9H
The ripple effects of their generosity & compassion emanate throughout Bucks & have inspired our community to come together and support one another time and time again. So join me in thanking Gene and Marlene for their remarkable efforts & contributions to our community. (7/7)
Through the Epsteins encouragement, the campaign exceeded its goal of $165,000 and provided over 600 households with assistance. Currently, Gene and Marlene are working to assist local food pantries, which have seen a significant rise in need. (6/7)
Additionally, they work closely with the Bucks County Opportunity Council on numerous programs, including Give A Christmas. This December, they pledged $25,000 and challenged fellow community members to donate $40,000. (5/7)
During the height of the pandemic, when St. Mary's Medical Center needed N95 masks, they got to work right away, securing masks, protective suits, & other gear. Gene & Marlene have also gone above & beyond to honor and recognize our incredible frontline healthcare workers. (4/7)
Among their many generous acts of giving, they've created the Wheelz2Work program, providing over 500 households working towards self-sufficiency with a vehicle. They've donated $10,000 to the Bristol Township School District to assist families experiencing hardships. (3/7)
For years, Gene and Marlene have worked to raise integral funds for numerous non-profit organizations and changed lives throughout our community. But for them, it's not just about writing checks; it's about getting involved and being an instrument of change. (2/7)
Meet this week's Hometown Heroes, Gene & Marlene Epstein, the Bucks County couple who have made it their mission to better the lives of fellow community members in need. (1/7)

Congratulations to @EnesKanter on becoming a US citizen today! Thank you, Enes, for your courage to stand up and speak out against human rights abuses around the world in the name of freedom. Your voice is powerful and inspiring, and I am proud to call you an American hero! https://t.co/zvEqBsDvRs
I attended @HBA_BucksMon's Legislative Conference, where we discussed prevailing housing industry issues and solutions to meet our area's housing needs. I look forward to working with HBA in their mission to build great homes and strong communities and businesses in PA-01. https://t.co/cZWk5VXSri
Since that horrific day, Ellen has become a leading advocate for national aviation safety. Because of her resilience & determination, we have made tangible progress in ensuring a tragedy like 9/11 never occurs with our bipartisan Saracini Enhanced Aviation Safety Act—(2/5)
Bipartisan legislation that protects the safety of our citizens by requiring the installation of secondary barriers on all commercial passenger aircrafts. It has been a great honor to work with Ellen & I continue to be inspired by her commitment to keeping our skies safe. (3/5)
As we approach the 20th anniversary of 9/11, I’d like to recognize one very special Hometown Hero—Ellen Saracini, wife of Capt. Victor Saracini, was killed after the flight he was piloting was hijacked & deliberately flown into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. (1/5) https://t.co/XhvgTHx8oY
Join me in thanking Ellen for her tireless and fierce advocacy efforts, and honoring Captain Victor Saracini and all the American heroes we lost that day. Their memories, service, and acts of bravery should never be forgotten. (5/5)
