Putin has made his motives clear: he won’t stop until he has expanded Russian territory through Ukraine and even beyond. He has threatened Baltic states (NATO territory) and made clear time and time again that he sees himself as a continuation of the czarist imperialism.
Ukrainians aren’t under any illusions about Putin’s intentions, and will never stop fighting for every inch of their territory. All we have to do is supply them with the bullets.
Is that a good investment? So far yes. Imagine a scenario where we let Russia bulldoze Ukraine. The same people who thought they’d never attack Kyiv will mistakenly believe they will never attack Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania.
Sorry, but that’s not putting America first. You can’t have “peace through strength” without the strength part.
The Chinese will know for sure that we won’t stand with Taiwan but instead stand by and watch. The world would quickly be under the thumb of the Russia/China/Iran axis and would almost certainly draw us into actual war.
Luckily this wasn’t a deliberate attack. But this would never have happened if Russia didn’t bomb Ukraine’s critical infrastructure in the first place. One thing we can take away from this: our investment in Ukraine is critical and effective to fighting Russian aggression. https://t.co/8tUOyW183n

More that 460,000 long-haul trucks would be needed to offset rail shutdown. Worth noting, 8 of the 12 unions did agree to the deal, which included a 24% increase in wages and better benefits.

Vladimir Putin is losing and he has been for a month. If we keep arming Zelensky it improves his ability to negotiate. Keep the weapons flowing so the Ukrainians can keep fighting and winning. Russia says it will cut back operations near Ukraine capital.https://t.co/VgkjFfKLIi
