The United States is an Arctic Nation — it’s time we started acting like it. I’m glad @POTUS has created this Arctic Ambassadorship. It’ll put our country at the table, and help make sure competitors aren’t getting an upper hand in the High North. https://t.co/PfeUpswHUM
Three days in The County! (That’s Aroostook County in northern Maine to those of you From Away). Some more photos from my trip on Instagram: https://t.co/ITOvsKu9hP https://t.co/95nKsa0Jww

As Russia continues their unprovoked attack on Ukraine, the threat of retaliation via cyberattack against the U.S. or our allies is real. From the government to the private sector, we need to continuously prepare for modern cyberattacks from Putin. https://t.co/cGyWecUm06
China has broken yet another promise to the global community, this time to Maine’s lobster industry. @ChelliePingree, @RepGolden, and I are demanding transparency and accountability for China’s broken trade deals. https://t.co/syN2zVK38F
In the days ahead, I look forward to reviewing President Biden’s nominee to fill the seat on the Supreme Court and making a judgment on his or her qualifications to serve on the highest court in the land.
Justice Stephen Breyer has served the nation with thought, skill, and dedication over his nearly 28 year-tenure on the Supreme Court. I’m grateful for his important contributions to the Court and the country, and wish him well in his retirement.
.@JRosenworcel has the experience, expertise, and dedication required to lead the @FCC with distinction and help expand the promise of the internet to every pocket of this country. She’s the right person for the job, and I’m grateful that she has been confirmed for another term.
Maine’s tourism industry supports thousands of jobs and countless businesses. As “Vacationland” works to recover from the pandemic, this #AmericanRescuePlan funding will help our state bounce back stronger. https://t.co/AyDHbV8TJh
Russia's constant cyberattack campaign against the U.S. is a reminder that of the serious threat we face. We must all strengthen our cybersecurity practices – especially the private sector, which controls over 80 percent of the nation’s threat exposure. https://t.co/Y4PY6OmbGV
The #AmericanRescuePlan continues to deliver aid for Maine towns to restore their economies and help families in need. Appreciate the Mills Administration helping distribute these funds — I urge Maine municipalities to apply before October 24th. https://t.co/PWKd6Iznew

I am all for smart, data-driven decisions that keep the American people safe from COVID – but as Canada’s vaccination rates rise and foreign travelers visit the U.S. through air travel, preventing vaccinated Canadians from driving over the border makes no sense.
The closure of the Maine-Canada border is hurting our state’s economy and culture, preventing people on both sides of the border from seeing loved ones. I joined a letter with colleagues urging @POTUS to open the border to vaccinated Canadians. https://t.co/K0IeNOktWa
I never enjoy leaving Maine – especially after a busy week with visits from @SecNav and @SecretaryGranholm – but there’s work to be done. Headed back to DC to advance key infrastructure investments, fight for voting rights protections, and get answers on our Afghanistan exit.
RT @SecGranholm: Thank you @SenAngusKing & @ORPC_Inc for the great tour of the Portland waterfront––the future of marine energy is h… https://t.co/xrC0FrlBd5
The Senate’s bipartisan infrastructure bill will have a major impact on Maine’s rural communities, from a historic broadband expansion to key funds to repair roads and bridges. I talked with @WAGMTV in the County about the benefits coming to rural Maine. https://t.co/piX2vMIYsV
The legislation’s $65 billion for broadband infrastructure will be absolutely transformational. Just as rural electrification did in the 30s, these broadband investments will help connect every American community to the infrastructure that powers modern life.
The bill includes $110 billion in funding for roads and bridges, $55 billion to support clean drinking water and address PFAS contamination, $20 billion for airports of all sizes, nearly $17 billion to strengthen the nation’s port infrastructure…the list goes on and on.
