Politics Girl manages to make indignant ranting entertaining. I so wish that more political commentators could speak with the clarity and conviction that ses to come so easily for her. https://t.co/xeEB4tPJ4k

This NYTimes story from 2019 is something that everyone should read... When I first got into software, women were about 50% of the field. Then, in the 80's they were pushed out. Today, women are only a small part of a field that was pioneered by women. https://t.co/BkpyeGDwja

@RBReich If the full annual fossil fuel subsidy is $649 Billion, then it would take just three year's subsidy to replace the heating systems in 100 million US homes with clean geothermal heat pumps. (Assumes $20K/home) Once we'd done that, we'd be saving $649 Billion/year thereafter...

@mtpollack When thinking about systems and entropy, remember that chaotic systems and extremely ordered systems are both "static" in their own way. Progress, innovation, and advancement occurs at the border between order and chaos. You must Fight Entropy, but never hope to eliminate it.

@duncan__c Yes. ConEd makes money on BQDM. They get normal ROE + 100 basis points and a 50% share of savings. See the 2014 PSC Order: https://t.co/4dVq4aLEEm https://t.co/iee5K5dlmz

Public interest in heat pumps appears to have grown dramatically since the Ukraine war began, but Google Trends data doesn't match my subjective sense of the recent growth in interest. Why the disconnect? https://t.co/J3OMoFDpph

@RabagoEnergy Current gas ratepayers' insistence on low rates creates intergenerational cost shifts to LMI folk who can't afford capital cost of heat pumps, etc. As gas usage declines, due to improved efficiency and wealthier folk abandoning gas, delivery rates must rise dramatically. https://t.co/b6wqW0m432

A Republican Louisiana judge has enjoined the US government from considering the global effects of carbon emissions when regulating emissions. How can any rational person argue that the government must not consider the harm caused by its regulations? https://t.co/3tRHmRJTqP

On March 3, National Grid will be holding two Public Statement Hearings to discuss the Southeast Suffolk Infrastructure Project which they "justify" using the ridiculously high load projections mentioned in the previous tweet. See: https://t.co/9TQx95NLnJ

@oboylemm Read PG&E's latest rate case filing. See the section on "Impact of Decarbonization on Depreciation of Gas Assets," starting on page 12-25. See Fig. 12-3 on page 12-32 and imagine the impact of straight-line depreciation on LMI customers. It is ugly... https://t.co/0eomZyOASx

@laurenweinstein @YouTube @Google It is ridiculous that the only short-form signals that can be associate with social media are emotional. If all you can do is "Like/Dislike" or "Love/Hate," then bullying is inevitable. We should replace emotional tags with non-emotional tags such as Agree/Disagree.
