@SMART_elections But it gets better: Tarrant volunteered to be one of the pilot counties for the new Risk Limiting Audits program that state law mandates. We will be counting more ballots and verifying larger samples than we ever did before.
(2/4) Texas Law requires counties to conduct a Partial Manual Recount (PMR) – see section 127.001 of the Texas Elections Code. We have always done a verification of the counts after the election, and it has always matched the results.
(4/4) This is the most important part of the response: machines CANNOT be programmed to count different on election day. The do one job, they count the same way every time.

To answer your questions: (1/4) We used the election ballots, with real candidate names. We will not post the tapes to avoid any misinterpretation of this being some sort of straw poll or prediction of the election results.
