Bill Summary

Amends the Federal judicial code to modify the residency requirement to allow the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, the Southern District of New York, or the Eastern District of New York, to reside within 50 miles (currently, 20 miles) of the district for which he or she is appointed, and each assistant U.S. attorney to reside within 50 miles of such district.
