The House position on Senate amendment No. 43 calls for a funding level of $914 million for FDA salaries and expenses (compared with $755 million in the Senate amendment). The House position on Senate amendment No. 80 calls for $1 million for a Farmers Home Administration program of loan guarantees for multi-family rental housing in rural areas. The Senate sought to delete this provision entirely.
