Bill Summary

Food Stamp Verification Act of 1998 - Directs the Secretary of Agriculture to enter into an agreement with the Commissioner of Social Security permitting information exchanges with State agencies administering the food stamp program to ensure that program benefits are not provided for deceased persons. Amends the Food Stamp Act of 1977 to authorize State program agencies to provide the Commissioner with such verification information.
