Bill Summary
Congratulates the Republic of Korea on the 50th anniversary of its founding and commends the Korean people on the peaceful democratic transition that has taken place during the most recent presidential elections. Expresses support for the efforts of the Government of President Kim Dae-jung to address economic problems and confirms that the question of reunification of the Korean Peninsula is a matter for the Korean people to decide.
