Bill Summary
Military Retirees Survivor Benefits Protection Act of 2001 - Amends Federal provisions concerning military annuities under the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) to: (1) increase the SBP annuity for beneficiaries age 62 or older from 35 to 55 percent of the base amount of military retired pay; and (2) repeal the Supplemental Survivor Benefit Plan program.
