Bill Summary
Stop Mortgage Fraud Act - Authorizes appropriations to the Department of Justice for FY2008-FY2012 for: (1) the employment of 30 additional agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and two additional prosecutors to coordinate prosecution of mortgage fraud cases with the offices of the U.S. Attorneys; and (2) the operations of the FBI interagency task forces in the areas with the 15 highest concentrations of mortgage fraud.
