Bill Summary
Ending Forced Arbitration for Victims of Data Breaches Act of 2019 This bill prohibits an entity from requiring, as part of a customer agreement or other similar agreement, that an individual agree to submit to arbitration a dispute related to a security breach. With respect to this prohibition, the bill establishes a private right to action as well as provides for enforcement by the Federal Trade Commission and by states.
