  • Working with client and Congressional Office(s) to register seasonal workers from outside the United States.
  • New London CT is a small deepwater port with frieght, a submarine base, tourism sites and most recently construction of the former cargo port into a facility that can assemble stantions for wind propelled electric generation. Many of the former & latter we service with our ferries and tug services. After the wind generation facility is complete, the lessor of the port facilities has stated it will reopen for container and break bulk cargo for movement by the adjacent I-95,I-395 or the adjacent regional railroads.
  • We have regularly sought funding for our portion of the National Maritime Hwy, as well as applied for and received from EPA funding to transform our ferry fleets engines to run more efficiently and and with less air pollution. We are presently seeking funding for a highspeed ferry terminal conveniently & strategically located a major highway, railroad & port operation & adjacent to the new US Coast Guard Museum.
  • Working with State and City of New London to develop additional adjacent parking not only principal business use, but also anticipating larger crowds with the opening of the National US Coast Guard Museum.
  • The New London CT harbor is scenic in and of itself and is part of the Thames River Heritage park but with the opening of the USCG Museum we anticipate a burst of those numbers. We also work our our lectured ferry tours of the Thames River and support the efforts of the Maritime Heritage Park as well as the Cities of New London and Groton to do the same.
  • Coordinate efforts with the Thames Heritage park which administers a wide variety of activies for tourists in and around the harbor. The CT congressional delegation has also secured funding to support regional railroad systems. As a mutimodal port client also facilitated passengers from Long Island New York (& seasonally Block Island Rhode Island) as well as passenger & freight connections with AMTRAK and regional shipping. Construction has been completed giving the New Enland Railroad Company direct access the major piers and downtown waterfron
  • On various occasions have had to speak with CT's Members of Congress to make them aware of any negative or positive impacts on Cross Sound Ferry and its sister Thames Ship Yard.
  • Placement of dredged spoils in LI Sound, Other issues regarding Thames Shipyard of its equipment, as well as our ferries. As noted previously,CSF also has obtained funding to make certain that ships engines are as environmentally friendly as possible.
  • Work with Department of Homeland Security to assure we are addressing all necessary DHS issues on access to our business sites as well as CSF vessels and the proximity of the Naval Submarine Base across the Thames River, as well as the impeding construction & completion of the United States National Coast Guard Museum
  • Ongoing projects to provide more parking and develop seamless tie-in to downtown NL, the Ferry and the state highways and AMTRAK.
