Issue(s) they said they’d lobby about: Military forces overseas and 1st Responders domestically face increasing threats requiring an expanded and greater need for situational awareness. The Army though Project National Shield and DHS have identified the need for persistent video surveillance, with autonomous sensors and image understanding to aid in target and threat recognition. Vidient is looking to further develop its technology for war zone integration with other sensors, including acoustic, radar and thermal for greater force protection..
