Ms. Abernathy recently joined the law firm of Wilkinson, Barker, Knauer, LLP as Special Counsel following her retirement from Frontier Communications. She first joined Frontier in 2006 as a member of the Board of Directors following her term as a Commissioner at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). In 2010 she accepted the position of Chief Legal Officer and Executive Vice President, Regulatory and Governmental Affairs. Over the next seven years she was on the senior leadership team that oversaw three major strategic acquisitions that eventually grew Frontier to a Fortune 250 company. She was responsible for obtaining the state and federal regulatory approvals critical to the growth of the company. At retirement she was Executive Vice President, External Affairs. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of ISO New England, a regional energy transmission organization authorized by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and is a Senior Industry and Innovation Fellow with Georgetown University’s Center for Business and Public Policy, McDonough School of Business. Prior to her term as an FCC Commissioner, Ms. Abernathy worked for a number of different telecommunications companies and law firms. She has received numerous awards in recognition of her professional accomplishments and has taught as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center and Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law.

Most recently, Commissioner Carr served as the General Counsel of the FCC. In that role, he served as the chief legal advisor to the Commission and FCC staff on all matters within the agency's jurisdiction. Previously, he served as the lead advisor to FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai on wireless, public safety, and international issues. Before that, he worked as an attorney in the FCC's Office of General Counsel, where he provided legal advice on a wide range of spectrum policy, competition, and public safety matters. Prior to joining the Commission in 2012, Mr. Carr was an attorney at Wiley Rein LLP, where he worked in the firm's appellate, litigation, and telecom practices. He represented clients in both trial and appellate court proceedings, including complex litigation involving the First Amendment and the Communications Act. Earlier in his career, he served as a law clerk for Judge Dennis W. Shedd of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Mr. Carr graduated magna cum laude from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law and obtained a certificate from its Institute for Communications Law Studies. He also served as a Note and Comment Editor of the Catholic University Law Review. Mr. Carr received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University. Commissioner Carr lives in Washington, DC with his wife and two children.

Ajit Pai is the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission. He was designated Chairman by President Donald J. Trump in January 2017. He had previously served as Commissioner at the FCC, appointed by then-President Barack Obama and confirmed unanimously by the United States Senate in May 2012.

Carolyn Tatum Roddy is a practicing attorney in the Atlanta area. She has broad experience in the federal and state regulation of telecommunications companies and other utilities and in representing those commercial organizations in a variety of transactional, corporate and administrative law matters. A graduate of the University of Georgia Law School and the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications, Ms. Roddy previously served as an attorney at the Federal Communications Commission. She was also regional regulatory counsel for Sprint Communications Company in the Southeast, and subsequently served as Counsel at Troutman Sanders, LLP in Atlanta and Director of Regulatory Affairs of the Satellite Industry Association in Washington, D.C. She is a registered mediator and an Adjunct Professor of Administrative Law at Atlanta's John Marshall Law School. Ms. Roddy lives in Marietta with her husband and children.

Prior to joining the agency, Commissioner Rosenworcel served as Senior Communications Counsel for the United States Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, under the leadership of Senator John D. Rockefeller IV. She previously served in the same role on the Committee under the leadership of Senator Daniel K. Inouye. In this position, she was responsible for legislation, hearings, and policy development involving a wide range of communications issues, including spectrum auctions, public safety, broadband deployment and adoption, universal service, video programming, satellite television, local radio, and digital television transition. Before joining the staff of the Committee, she served as Legal Advisor to former FCC Commissioner Michael J. Copps. She also served at the agency as Legal Counsel to the Chief of the Wireline Competition Bureau and as an Attorney-Advisor in the Wireline Competition Bureau. Prior to entering public service, Commissioner Rosenworcel practiced communications law at Drinker Biddle and Reath. Commissioner Rosenworcel is a native of Hartford, Connecticut. She is a graduate of Wesleyan University and New York University School of Law. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband Mark, and children Caroline and Emmett.
