Over 30 years of diverse national and international law enforcement, intelligence gathering and regulatory compliance experience in domestic and foreign positions of increasing responsibility. Promoted to the Senior Executive Service rank with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in January 2003 and appointed to the Senior National Intelligence Service rank by the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) in September 2009. Served in criminal investigative, intelligence operations and analysis, pharmaceutical regulatory compliance and Headquarters administrative staff assignments to include inspections, policy, strategy and senior liaison as well as supervisory, management, and senior executive positions in New York, Florida, the Bahamas, Haiti, Puerto Rico and Washington, DC. Travelled to well over 30 countries during government service and retired from DEA as a Deputy Assistant Adminstator in 2014. Promoted to Major General, U. S. Army National Guard in 2018 and appointed Commanding General of the District of Columbia National Guard by the President of the United States. Veteran of Operations Noble Eagle and Enduring Freedom; graduate of the Joint and Combined War-fighting School, the Inter-American Defense War College and the Command and General Staff College; completed the Harvard University National and International Security Program and the George Washington University, National Security Studies Program.
