My father and I fought for this
|
As I write you, the Supreme Court of the United States is preparing to issue
its decision on the constitutionality of President Obama's health care law.
If the Court strikes down the law, Democrats will need to redouble our
efforts, fighting to ensure universal health care that's affordable and
accessible to every American is a reality.
If the Court upholds the law, dangerous Tea Party extremists will go on a
rampage. Backed by Super PAC's and shadowy front groups like Karl Rove's
Crossroads GPS, they'll do everything in their power to defeat President
Obama, demonize Democrats who fought for health care reform and, if they win
the election, dismantle the law piece-by-piece.
Either way, Democrats are in for a tough fight. That
's why I'm counting on you to stand with me and rush your contribution
of $3 or more to our Health Care Rapid Response Fund right now.
The Affordable Care Act represents a giant step forward for every American
who lived in fear of bankruptcy because of illness.
My father, Ted Kennedy, spent his entire political career fighting tooth and
nail for universal health care. Together, we fought for a holistic approach
to health, and championed the Mental Health Parity Law to ensure safeguards
and support for families in need across the nation. If he were here, he
would be proud of what we were able to accomplish.
Donate $3 or more to our Health Care Rapid Response Fund right now
Thank you,
Patrick J. Kennedy

Karl Rove explained to reporters how Republicans are closing the gap: “A couple a million dollars of unanswered TV does wonders."
And he just funneled $X million into six Senate battleground states because he thinks we can’t match him.
That’s more than enough Senate seats for a GOP takeover.
If we raise $X before the critical FEC deadline in just 72 hours, we can respond to Rove. Can you pitch in $X? Your gift will be triple matched!
If you want to guarantee more radically conservative Supreme Court decisions like Citizens United, bring back a Republican controlled Senate.
We only have 72 hours until the FEC deadline. Can you give $X?
Thanks for your help,

Tomorrow, the Supreme Court will make one of the most important decisions
in American history: they’ll rule on health care reform.
No matter what happens, Republicans will never stop trying to tear this
landmark law to pieces along with the rest of President Obama’s agenda.
With only 72 hours until the critical FEC deadline and 24 hours until the
health care decision, standing behind President Obama is more important
than ever. Could you donate $X? Your gift will be triple
matched!
GOP Super PACs have spent millions to attack Obamacare. Mitt Romney has
pledged to repeal it on day one if the Supreme Court doesn’t.
Regardless of tomorrow’s outcome, we can’t let them win. Please join me in
the fight for health care reform:

If we're drastically outspent
|
--
Not sure if you know this, but the Dinner with Barack and
Michelle contest is over.
But there is a very short-term opportunity that just became
available.
Next week, President Obama will be on a bus touring
battleground states and headlining campaign events.
You could be with him on the bus.
The person who will be with him will have entered before
our deadline this Saturday, June 30th.
Do it now: [url]
We'll take care of airfare, accommodations, and the rest of that.
You just make sure you're available.
And if you need a note explaining where you were to give to
your spouse, boss, or teacher, he's been known to help
people out with that.
Time is short so if you're going to jump in, hurry up:

Good luck,

Obama - Biden --
If we're drastically outspent in this election, there's a very good chance we will lose to Mitt Romney.
This is a distinct possibility. The financial landscape in this race has changed over the last few weeks.
What concerns me is the Obama supporters I've encountered who don't understand that this is what we're facing.
The fundraising deadline this week is a test: Are we going to allow the other side to dominate us, or are we going to prove that elections are decided by everyday Americans pitching in what they can?
Ready to fight? Please donate $X or more today, ahead of the FEC deadline.
What's at stake here goes beyond the progress we've made so far, or anything the President wants to do in a second term.
What's at stake is the very idea that regular people should still be in control of elections in this country.
Barack Obama proved in 2008 that millions of people giving $X $X or $X at a time are an undeniable force. Today, our campaign is bigger and faster. We're opening more offices and recruiting more volunteers to knock on doors.
If we allow the spending disadvantage to get beyond a certain point, none of that will matter. Mitt Romney will win, and it will be because we couldn't keep up.
We can't let that happen. I'm proud of how we're building this campaign, and I'm not about to let a handful of billionaires prove us wrong.
Donate $X or more today:

Haven't won yet?

image: Obama - Biden --
Haven't won your Dinner with Barack yet? You might like this even better.
President Obama is hitting the campaign trail next week -- and you're
invited to join him. To thank the grassroots supporters who enter before
Saturday, we're saving two seats on the bus for a winner and their guest.
If that's you, here's how it'll work: We'll fly you and a friend out to
meet up with the bus tour, and you'll get to ride along with President
Obama as he travels to his next stop.
Sound like something you could get on board with? Pitch in $X or whatever
you can to be automatically
entered.
We know the other side is going to have more money in this race. President
Obama will be the first incumbent in modern history to be outspent.
Mitt Romney has surrounded himself with shadowy outside groups and people
who are willing to spend millions of dollars just to trash the President on
TV. He even held a "retreat" last weekend with all sorts of shady donors
and operatives, like our good friend Karl Rove.
We refuse to play that kind of politics.
So here's a list of who won't be represented on the President's bus next
week: super PACs, Washington lobbyists, the Koch brothers, or anyone else
who thinks this election is for sale.
This campaign belongs to you. That's who we're saving seats for.
And what we do together before this week's fundraising deadline will
determine whether small-dollar donations can keep pace with the millions
pouring in from the other side.
But it takes each of us chipping in.
If you donate today, before this week's deadline, you'll be automatically
entered to travel with the President:

The campaign bus used to be Barack Obama's second home, but it's not the easiest
place to have friends over.
So what I'm about to tell you is pretty rare.
Today, if you donate $9 or whatever you can before our biggest fundraising
deadline yet, you'll be automatically entered for a chance to join him for a leg
of his bus trip next week:
[url]
If you haven't yet won your Dinner with Barack, this might be the only thing I
think you'll like even better. The campaign will cover your airfare to meet the
President on the trail -- and you'll get to bring a guest with you.
So if you win, no need to call "shotgun" -- you won't want the front seat.
You'll be riding in the back with the President.

The Democratic Party
-----------------------
Friend --
Republicans today have gone off the rails completely when it
comes to women's rights.
The fact that the Republican Party is actively fighting to take
away a woman's right to make her own health decisions, and
is standing in the way of commonsense legislation like
paycheck equality -- when women still make 77 cents for every
dollar a man makes -- shows just how important it is that we
do everything we can to keep Democrats in control come November.
Build Democratic momentum against the politicians chipping away
at women's equality by joining our 2012 election efforts and donating $X
or whatever you can today:
[url]
I can't stand by and watch Republicans try to undo decades worth
of progress in a single legislative session, and send women back
to the dark ages. I hope you won't, either.
I know that President Obama and Democrats at every level across the
country are committed, not just to preserving the policies we already
have that help women, but to doing everything they can to continue
to move us forward towards full equality.
But they can't do it without our help. We need to build an army of
supporters for Democrats who are going to bat for women -- and the
best way you can help is by donating $X or whatever you can today:
[url]
Thanks,
Donna
Donna Brazile
Vice Chair
Democratic National Committee
P.S. -- By donating today, you'll be automatically entered for the chance
to win a free trip to Washington, D.C. to have lunch with the Chair of the
Democratic Party, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz. She is a dear
friend of mine, and I know how much she's looking forward to meeting
supporters like you. Donate $X or whatever you can now for the
chance to win:

You know why I like the Democratic Party? I'll tell you: It's a big tent,
and it always has been.
It's a place for working people and the middle class. For women, veterans,
and small business owners. And new Americans, too. Everyone belongs here.
As we head into Saturday's important FEC fundraising deadline, you should
be a part of it, too. Pitch in whatever you can, even as little as $X to
re-elect President Obama and help Democrats in tough local fights this year.
Contribute to the Democratic Party
today.
Democrats represent a broad cross-section of Americans. It's our shared
values that connect us and our policies reflect our core beliefs.
Think about it: When factory workers got together and decided to unionize
to fight for the five-day work week, the minimum wage, and child labor
laws, who got behind them? Democrats.
When women fought for their right to vote, and the 19th Amendment granting
them suffrage was passed, who got their back? President Woodrow Wilson, a
big Democrat.
Shut the history books, take a look at this president, and you'll see the
same thing:
Barack Obama has said that people should be able to marry whoever they love.
President Obama has told the children of immigrants that if they've grown
up in the United States and followed the rules, there's a place for them
here.
There's never been a better time to be part of the Democratic Party. And
I'm not going to mince my words: Democrats need us this year.
Congressional races up and down the ticket are relying on the funds we can
bring in between now and Saturday's critical FEC fundraising deadline.
President Obama's counting on us, too.
Donate before the deadline:

And know that you're playing a part in moving this nation forward for
decades and decades to come.
Thanks,
