The scientific head of ALSOS was Sam Goudsmit, who also wrote a book. While a nuclear bigshot, Sam was an electron specialist, with the A bomb being all about neutrons. Sam was tasked with radar development, until ALSOS drafted him for nuclear. Sam spent much of his time in Paris
