In 2005, Georgia's Republican-controlled state legislature passed no excuse absentee voting. Then state senator & future Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed said of the bill, "By removing restrictions related to mailed absentee ballots, HB 244 opens a greater opportunity for fraud." #gapol
