@DefiantBritta FYI- I am a public servants & I head operations for the US Public Health Service. (The one that’s doing covid testing all over the country, and responding to wildfires and hurricanes, etc). People who tell public servants to resign don’t seem to appreciate what that would mean.

@DefiantBritta We need public servants and we benefit from the jobs they do, no matter who resides at 1600 Penn. It’s reflects an extreme lack of knowledge of all the government does for all of us when people tell public servants should just quit, for political reasons.

And speaking of prevention- Over 35 million people were diagnosed w/ flu last year. When at home/work/ school/ in public, you don’t want the hassle of worrying about having #covid19, because you didn’t get vaccinated and got the flu. #sleevesup! @rolandsmartin @realDonaldTrump Roland, my messages are meant for everyone- I wasn’t taught to criticize people based on political affialition in medical school or public health school. In fact, it’s counterproductive- people tend not to listen to your health advice when you call them “nuts.”

@DeborahFordJohn 1) Neither I nor Ms Winans spent $300 million. We had a conversation about staying safe from covid. 2) Respectfully, you just said educating the black community about how to stay safe from was “feel good BS.” I hope you don’t really mean that.

@JeromeAdamsMD
Hoping over the next several weeks we don’t let our hatred for a political candidate become greater than our desire to keep vulnerable people safe from #COVID19. Thank @cecewinans for having a conversation with me. I hope most people will take it as it was meant- to save lives.
(5/5) #HealthEquity has always been my #1 priority. We MUST address the health disparities & inequities among black communities that limit their opportunities. To learn more about my vision for a healthier country, check out my @TedXMidAtlantic https://t.co/abv4vFcHBe
(4/5) But we CAN and MUST address the underlying inequalities and deficiencies that allowed #COVID19 to strike our minority and underserved communities with such devastation, so that we never find ourselves so vulnerable to any sort of attack—viral or otherwise—again.
(3/5) As a society, we have created the perfect storm of conditions to disproportionately affect black and brown folks at the hands of a pandemic because we have denied them the opportunities to build resilient communities
(2/5) #COVID19 has highlighted the unequal access and impact of health across racial groups, and more folks now understand that pre-existing medical conditions are more often than not the result of pre-existing social conditions
(1/5) I just spoke with @NAM about how we must be humble in our approach to healthcare as we move forward in the #postcovid world. We must normalize the scientific process, and embrace learning new information and changing our course of actions as a result.
Proud to work alongside @NationalGaurd as we work together to tackle #COVID19. Special thanks to MG McCarty & @SCNationalGaurd for your help as we stand up #COVID19 testing sites w/local partners @SCHealthDept, @UofSC, @henrymcmaster, @SteveBenjaminSC https://t.co/Uu1vrla8AV
#COVID19 has hit us hard, but we know what works to keep people & their communities safe. Know ur risk, ur circumstances & how to protect yourself by following the 3 Ws: Wear a mask Wash ur hands Watch ur distance

Getting vaccinated and helping promote vaccine confidence so that others get vaccinated too, is one way YOU can help eliminate racial and ethnic health disparities, save black and brown lives, and promote social justice! ✊ https://t.co/MTsVIzvTNd
