@healthvermont Thanks to all the physicians who have worked so hard to advise schools on how to have a safe start. Suppose you are a VT child who survived cancer, but still have a weak immune system. Or a #vted teacher with a wife in treatment for cancer. Or an immunocompromised parent of a child under 12. How do you feel about Gov. Scott’s declaration that masks now are a personal choice?

We have a bet in my household on whether in a few days, Gov. Scott's admin will reverse the "masks are a personal choice" policy, recommend universal masking in schools, and stating that he is "just following the science." The stakes are high.

Many in #vted have worried about VT's ban on asking for masks in public school-based summer camps, since these camps often serve the state's immunocompromised children. There are many reasons this task force set up by the legislature is very odd. One is the lack of any member from Chittenden County, given the subject. https://t.co/0m1gJfLRV6

The Maine legislature's Appropriations Committee created a designated fund called the Meals for Students Fund, which will help pay the difference between the federal reimbursements the state gets for free meals and the cost of school meals for all. #vted https://t.co/X9rh4tOHyp
