Project Description
CERP Bulk Funds to support future Task Force Steel Operations in the Khost Province. Condolence Payment for unintentional death inflicted on 2XLN militia by way of CAS and AWT IVO Nadir Shakat, Khost Province (ref: attached storyboard).
Project Goals
Task Force Steel's BN HQ will have a small amount of ready cash on hand to conduct high impact, low cost projects, condolence payments, battle damage payments and hero payments ISO the Afghan people in the Khost Province. Comments: Alleviate human suffering from perceived or real actions of Coalition Forces. Two payments of $2,500 each were made to the family of the local militia. The total cost estimate for the condolence payments are $5,000 dollars U.S. (ref: attachced storyboard)
Results
Impact of condolence payments to Mongol tribal family members: -Tribal leadership remains supportive of GIRoA. -Reinforces participation in the government process by empowering local leadership to address grievances of local population. -Show of CF and GIRoA respect and concern for local traditions. -Having the funds readily available allowed for the commander to address an point of discontent in a nearly immediate timeframe.
