Rehabilitate of the Bazaar within Dokalam Village, Naray District, Kunar Province. Project will include refurbishment of the existing Bazaar buildings and pathways for the continuation of commerce with the District.

Project Goals

REASON FOR PROJECT:

Currently, the Dokalam Bazaar is in need of repair. Also, there is no adequate drainage system in place which causes the avenue to become flooded any time it rains. The drainage runs down the middle of the pathway severely guttering it and severely afecting the heavy foot traffic from local populace who are shopping at the largest Bizarre in Task Force Bandit. It is a gateway from Nuristan and Pakistan for all local Commerce to be sold throughout Task Force Bandit. Also, the Bizaar itself and local shops are in need of refurbishment.

DESIRED PROJECT EFFECTS:

To stimulate commerce and development in the village of Dokalam by improving the current avenue drainage, which will support a larger population of people and vehicular traffic within the Bizaar. This will create Job opportunities for Dokalam and Manli Khune and surrounding villages by allowing villagers to travel the outlying areas to find jobs. We will Potential afford 890 families of the Dokalam Village the opportunity to travel and find jobs in the outlying areas thus stimulating the economy of their own villages. It will allow for more commerce to come through the village and Bizaar. With the rehabilitation of the Bizaar and avenue the effects of flooding will be controlled and will allow for a safer conditions in adverse weather.

MEASURABLE EFFECTS:

This project will allow for increased commerce between villages, increased traffic flow, new job opportunity, and continued relations with GIRoA.
