Project Goals
The border of the Jaji Maidan District had been the target of increased INS activity, to include multiple kidnappings and murders, illegal checkpoints and shakedowns, illegal smuggling of arms and ammunition along the Pakistani Border, and at least one historical Point of Origin (POO) site for attacks on the nearby District Center of Bak. As ISAF occupies Bak District Center, INS cells will again be pushed out of their traditional safe havens. It is likely that the peaceful nearby district of the Jaji Tribe will suffer. With a shortage of ANSF in the area, INS will likely terrorize the GIRoA friendly district. Innocent civilians, local security forces, and infrastructure are being targeted in some areas and there will likely be increased amounts of battle damage in the area without additional security forces. The district of Jaji Maidan and the local security force needs to be immediately augmented by additional personnel.
