Project Description

On May 13th, 2009, AAF detonated a VBIED in the FOB Salerno Local National parking lot just outside of FOB Salerno facilities killing and wounding FOB Salerno Local National workers . These local nationals were targeted as a result of working with U.S. and Coalition Forces supporting everyday operations. Upon review of the damage, it was detemined multiple vehicles were destroyed in the event. This project will make condolence payments to the Local Nationals Killed or wounded in the event.

Project Goals

A condolence payment should be paid in the amount of $2,500 to the family of each KIA. A condolence payment should be paid in the amount of $1,500 to each WIA. The total amount paid in condolence payments will be $49,000.00.

 

The following is a list of payments for the KIA.

1. A payment of $2,500 will be made to the family of Naaleen.

2. A payment of $2,500 will be made to the family of Faizullah.

3. A payment of $2,500 will be made to the family of Noorbadshah.

4. A payment of $2,500 will be made to the family of Rhahmat Khan.

5. A payment of $2,500 will be made to the family of Din Mohammad.

6. A payment of $2,500 will be made to the family of Saleen Bad Shah.

7. A payment of $2,500 will be made to the family of Qadir Shah.

 

The following is a list of payments for the WIA.

1. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Muhomad Asef/Suroby Province.

2. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Tillagul/Patika Province.

3. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Muhabat Shah/Munai Village,Matun.

4. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Sayadullah Jan/Gardez, Paktiya.

5. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Rasool Khan/Ponzaya, Matun.

6. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Muhomed Asef/Kajira Kalay, Matun.

7. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Kaka Jan/Laghman Province.

8. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Wali Khel/Gardez, Paktiya.

9. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Shir Bacha/Jalalabad Province.

10. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Mohamad Fazal/Maitin Shair, Wardok province

11. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Saifuall Shah, Tani province.

12. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Sulten Gul/Gardez, Paktiya.

13. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Najeebullah, Kundi

14. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Zerwali, Ismail Khel village, Mandozayi

15. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Mohamad Nabi.

16. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Zubir.

17. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Mohamad Shah.

18. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Said Wali.

 

19. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Rasheed.

20. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Hazrat Wali.

21. A payment of $1,500 will be made to Sharif.

Results

This project provided a temporary financial assistance to families that had members killed or injured in the May 13th, 2009 VBIED attack in the local national parking lot of FOB Salerno.

Updates

Jun 28 2009 All payments were made with the exception of one. The remaining $1500 was turned back into finance as the family could never be reached for payment.
