Project Description

Renovate the Nangarhar Medical University Women's Dormitory. Project will replace the carpet, paint the walls and supply each woman with a new bunk bed/desk unit.

Project Goals

In an effort to reach out to the medical university students, the PRT will renovate the women's dorm and the men's dorm in two separate projects. The medical students are progressive Afghans and pro-coalition so this project aims to reinforce and build upon that positive relationship. In addition, the women students have no place to study. They usually study in their beds at night via cell phone light. This project will give them a separate sleeping and studying space without taking up additional floor space.
