Project Goals
The success of Kandahar businesses directly affect the economy and are inextricably tied to the stability of the province. In turn, the economy is directly related to the health and welfare of the Kandahar population. The current state of the Kandahar economy is tenuous at best, and there is an immediate and urgent need to assess the effectiveness of economic sustainment programs. The primary objective of the project is to measure the effectiveness of USG, ISAF, and NGOs economic assistance and sustainment programs from 2009 to 2010. To understand from current Kandahar business owners the immediate effect, both positive and negative, of these programs, to report these effects, and to make recommendations as to these effects.
