Project Description

Which in turn will affect econimic stability, and infrastructure to engage the local District Government. This project will boost the ability to bring crops to market and create a positive affect for GIROA in Khan Neshin District.

Project Goals

The primary goal of this project is to provide the locals of Khan Neshin a road to drive on from the farm to the market. By improving the local infrastructure it enables the People of Khan Neshin district to be able to freely approach the District Government and not have to worry about getting stuck in the mud and standing water the current road exihibts. The current dirt road is in extreme disrepair. Flooding and poor road conditions limit local drivers to speeds below 15mph, causing delays in travel time to the District Center and Khan Neshin village and also hindering the deliverance of healthcare and other government services. Paving the road will improve security response and access to the Khan Neshin District Center, Bazaar, and village's as well as allow vehicles supporting the bazaar commerce a safe avenue to deliver goods. Comments: PM: Maj Howell

Completion of this road has the potential to increase commerce and local access to government services for Rig/Khan Neshin District. Local Vehicles are often found stuck in the road and have to be towed by larger vehicles and occassionally LAVs or MRAPs. An asphalt road would cut travel time to and from the Khan Neshin District Center and Bazaar.
