Project Description

At 1000 hrs on 11 January 2010, Abdul Rashid approached an american Patrol in Kandahar City infront of the Kandahar Police Headquarters. He was riding with his wife and daughter. The vehicle received damage to the bumper and the engine block. The patrol did not stop and left Mr. Rashid in the road. The ANP then assisted him further.

Project Goals

The CERP battle damage payment is not an admission of legal liability or fault. Rather, these payments are gestures made by the US Armed Forces to express condolence to individuals and families. It is meant as a symbolic gesture and not as compensation for a loss.
