Sign Barack's card

Have you ever noticed what Barack does after he gives a speech?

He makes a beeline for the front row of the audience and starts shaking hands and having one-on-one conversations with as many people as he can.

I've seen him do this when it's freezing, and in 100-degree heat. I've watched him skip lunch to stick around for a while longer.

I'll let you in on something: Every hug, high-five, and fist bump gives him a boost. It's true. By the time he heads out, he's pretty pumped -- and that's what keeps him going.

You might have heard he's got a birthday coming up next week. Give him one of those virtual fist bumps right now by signing his card:

[url]

My husband is the hardest-working person I know, and he never loses sight of what's at stake in November. But I know that even he can use a few words of encouragement along the way.

Take a minute to wish Barack a happy birthday -- and let him know you've got his back:

[url]

He'll appreciate it more than you know.

Michelle

Barack has a birthday coming up in a few days his 51st.

The girls and I always give him a card, and we love watching his face light up as he reads our notes.

The past couple years, we've invited you to join us in our tradition, and hearing from supporters like you means so much to him.

Will you join us in signing Barack's birthday card today? Let him know he's got your support.

Barack has always been a good sport when I tease him about his gray hairs and the next few months are sure to give him a few more.

Knowing that you've got his back will mean the world to him.

So sign Barack's birthday card here and show him he can count on you:

[url]

Thanks. Barack's going to love this.

Michelle

Barack's 51st birthday is coming up.

I hope you'll wish him a happy birthday by signing the card we're putting together for him.

You'll be adding from District of Columbia, alongside thousands of other supporters' names -- folks from all 50 states, from all different backgrounds. Together, all those names will be impressive -- they'll show the strength of this campaign and our support for Barack.

And I know he's going to love it.

Add your name today -- and then ask a friend to join you:

These last few months until Election Day won't be easy -- so let's show Barack we have his back every step of the way.

Tell Barack: Happy birthday

Next week, Barack is turning 51. I can't believe it -- it seems like just last week that we took that long walk on our first date.

I know that he's entering the toughest months of the campaign, so I've got an idea: Let's all show him that we're with him until the last vote is cast.

You can do that by signing the birthday card we put together for him. You can even leave a note, if you like:

This will mean so much to him.

Bring a friend to volunteer on Saturday in Denver

I bet you can think of one person you've always thought should get involved in this campaign.

This weekend -- July 28th and 29th -- you've got your golden opportunity to ask them to join you for the It Takes One weekend of action.

There's an event in Denver on Saturday, and some other events near you, too.

Here's all the info you and the person you bring will need to make it out on Saturday:

What: It Takes One weekend of action in Denver

Where: 7820 E. Bethany Place Denver, CO 80231

When: Saturday, July 28th 6:00 pm

This weekend of action is inspired by First Lady Michelle Obama's new effort called It Takes One. She's asking us to bring one new person into this organization each time we take action -- when we show up at a volunteer event, when we donate a few dollars to help grow the campaign, or when we commit to making it out to the polls.

Maybe that person you bring along will be your best friend, your sister, or one of your parents. Maybe it's someone you know from school or work, who has told you they're interested in doing something big to help move our work along.

Whoever you bring, you'll both be reaching out to voters -- helping them get registered to vote and having conversations with them about who they'll be casting their ballot for this fall. It'll be great work to do as a team with the person who comes along, and we'll set you both up with a training beforehand so you're all ready when you head out for your shift.

The best part -- you'll be able to do twice as much, and have twice as much fun doing it together.

So sign up now for the It Takes One weekend of action event on Saturday:

Betting on you

Democrats

Karl Rove is making a multimillion-dollar bet.

His groups, American Crossroads and Crossroads GPS, think if they put enough money into misleading TV ads trashing President Obama, voters won't be able to see straight.

That's not all. They're also betting on $X million as the magic number for taking control of the Senate. And they're pumping attack ads into House districts that could swing our way or theirs. Last month alone they spent millions of dollars attacking Governor Tim Kaine's Senate race in Virginia, along with other Democrats everywhere from New Mexico to Nebraska.

They're hoping we won't fight back. Too bad for them. We are. And we're doing it the right way: on the ground, with supporters telling their friends and neighbors the truth.

We're making a big bet -- on you.

Get behind Democrats with a donation today.

For Democrats to keep making progress, it's critical that we re-elect President Obama.

And it's equally important to make sure we have a Congress that's no longer gridlocked by House Republicans.

We know what the last two years have been like in Congress. We can't sit on the sidelines and let that happen again.

Every time Karl Rove, the Koch Brothers, and other outside groups throw $X million into a Senate race in Missouri, or $X million into a House race in Illinois, they're hoping we'll just fold.

That's not how it's going to go down.

There are 102 days to go, and there couldn't be more on the line. Get in the fight today:

Democrats --

Obama campaign manager Jim Messina got it right when he said that "we made a big bet in this campaign."

Our big bet is on our supporters like you -- that your support can help us cross the finish line in November. And I couldn't be more confident that this bet is going to pay off.

Help give Democrats the resources they need to win on Election Day. Donate $X or more today.

Mitt Romney and the Republicans believe their big donors and outside groups can fund enough misleading TV ads to turn the election in their favor. Their campaigns aren't based on a plan to create jobs or improve people's lives. Their plan is to buy the White House with a mind-boggling amount of money. Seriously.

Democrats do things differently. We're counting on millions of Americans to go to bat for the candidates who are fighting for working families. The way we're going to elect the President and Democrats across the board is by volunteering, chipping in what we can, and talking to voters one on one.

Is it a bit of a risky proposition? Sure.

But it's a risk we're ready to take because we believe everyday Americans -- not special interests -- should decide elections. And because people like you will step up, showing we can go toe to toe with any super PAC or wealthy individual.

We're staring down the most urgent fundraising deadline yet. Donate $X today to prove that we not only have the better strategy, we have a winning strategy:

POLITICO: Eric Cantor defends Michele Bachmann Sign the Petition: Denounce Bachmann and Cantor --

We all know Michele Bachmann is the queen of right-wing conspiracy theories. Last week, she sent a letter to the State Department asking them to investigate Huma Abedin, one of Hillary Clinton's top aides, for being associated with the Muslim Brotherhood.

Scores of pundits and politicians denounced Bachmann's baseless accusations - including Republicans John McCain and John Boehner. But this morning in a nationally televised interview on CBS, Eric Cantor refused to take on Bachmann.

Cantor doesn't have the courage to stand up to Bachmann or the right-wing fringe. Will you help us reach 100,000 strong denouncing Bachmann's attacks?

Sign our petition right now to denounce Michele Bachmann's bigoted attack on Muslim-Americans [url]
