Project Description

One year of medical supplies for medical engagements IVO Pashad Village.

Project Goals

Reason for Project: FOB Penich is located south of Pashad and requires funding to supplement the shortage of LN clinics in the immediate area. The residents of Pashad are poor, the closest LN clinic is 11 km away.

Desired Effects: Provide supplies for 12 months so the people of Pashad can be engaged by CF IOT separate the population from the insurgent. Prevent the people of Pashad from feeling alienated as the Konar Ministry of Health works to bring sustainable health care to their area.

Performance metrics: The ability of A 1-32 to engage the people IVO Pashad will be sustained for one year under this contract. The materials will treat the people IVO Pashad filling a medical care void for the area. The village has not previously been considered for medical care due to security concerns. These supplies would be maintained by TF 1-32 Attack Company on FOB Penich until the village can sustain their own health care.

Measureable Effects: The Pashad as well as the FOB Penich area will be sustained for one year under this contract. The materials will be used to improve the standard of living for the local residents and enable CF to engage the populace using multiple methods.

Comments: Discussed this with Konar Minister of Health in early February. He agreed that we could proceed with medical assistance in our AOR.
