If our intelligence agencies wants to act like the 4th Branch of government, we at least need checks and balances on their power like the 3 constitutional branches have.

.@realDonaldTrump is coming into so much conflict with Executive Branch agencies because he intends to lead, not do what he is told.

Nothing of substance changed under the last 4 Presidents because they understood and accepted that they were a figure head — doing public relations for the Executive Branch, not leading it.

As I said 2 weeks ago when @RepGolden was calling to keep our troops in Syria, a deal between the Syria govt and the Kurds was the way to go. @JohnRad15 I hear you and would like to understand your argument. It sounds like the alternative arrangement to private ownership of land you propose is common ownership. If I understand that correctly, how do you avoid the tragedy of the commons?

The ability to earn more by providing for others what they want and need through voluntary exchange in the market has driven HUGE gains in the American standard of living. Take away the income inequality and you take away the incentive to create value for others.

The problem in America is not too much Capitalism, but not enough of it. The most socialized sectors of our economy — healthcare, banking and education — are where we see the worst getting in top through political privilege, not merit.

Free markets allow those who create more value for others to earn more money. Take away the “income inequality” and you take away the added drive for value creation.
