Project Description

Improve the 26 kilometer circular road referred to as the "Snakeshead Beltway", comprised of four separate roads. The road section known as Route Babe Ruth requires no work. The route connecting the northwest to west points is Route Cowboys which is to be paved. Route Falcons connects west to south and is to be graveled. Route Redskins connecting the south to northeast points is to be graveled.

Project Goals

Provide a continuous paved (Rte Cowboys) and graveled (Rtes Falcons; Redskins) road to include widening of the current roads to four meters, improving all bridges to four meters wide and supporting 100 metric tons, emplacing culverts at all small canal crossings or runoff areas, constructing gabions where for reinforcing canal wall where erosion is occuring, and leveling of all potholes, and uneven surfaces with dirt and made even prior to compacting and graveling/paving.
