Project Goals
The rehabilitation of Khakrez Road will provide viable provincial roadway used to connect Khakrez District to the Provincial Government of Kandahar, as well as tie Khakrez District economically to Kandahar City. Reasonable measures have been taken to ensure that other aid and reconstruction funds (local, national, donor nation, non-government organization (NGO) or other resources) are not available. The current United States Agency for International Development (USAID) program for Strategic Provincial Roads does not address the current need in Khakrez District.
