Project Description

Four district centers of educational excellence in the districts of Tani, Gurbuz, Tere Zayi, and Lakan area. Centers design approved by National Ministry of Education and will include main building, multi-purpose room, dining facility, classrooms, library, guard house, toilets and protective wall.

Project Goals

Reason for Project: These centrally located centers of excellence in the districts named will provide a clean, safe, and healthy educational environment for up to 500 students. The center's curriculum will be approved and have oversight by the provincial government with the directors of education and Hajj as the lead agencies in center operations. The four centers will provide relevant, high quality education in cultural and vocational trades that will give students a solid base of knowledge to begin careers as they become adults. 

 Desired Project Effects: Increase in residents attending the government sponsored center. Increased support for district and provincial government processes. Lower unemployment and crime rates. This project is not on the PDP, it is approved by the governor, has been coordinated through, fully endorsed and approved by the national minister of education. The centers will maintain an enrollment of no more than 500 students and will be the model for centers in most of the other districts. 

 Measurable Effects: Increased literacy rate. Decrease in attendance at unregistered, private religious schools. Decreased crime rate among juveniles. A curriculum that is government sanctioned and supports district, provincial and national government. Increased support for local and provincial governments.
