@heqt1c No reason you can’t do both. In NJ we already have ballot drop boxes, but you can’t drop your ballot off at a polling station. Universal vote by mail doesn’t mean exclusive vote by mail.

@cathecht You’re right in that this makes makes logical sense in the short term. But on the whole this just shouldn’t even be a problem to begin with. As an engineer I’m always looking to solve the root cause, a patch is only good for so long.

Walker is a sitting multi-term county commissioner who writes & approves spending of a county with a budget surplus. All that time & money & power to do something about the lack of recreation, but he goes out there to shit on Sam Pesin and sell LSP to some rich White billionaire.

Here’s a wild idea: maybe state legislators should actually read bills & take time to consider them instead of voting on all of them at once like a college student about to miss a deadline b/c they spent all semester partying.

On Valentine’s Day I always remember mis abuelos (que descansen en la paz del Señor). Abuela came from an upper middle class family (which was a rarity in 1920s ); she even graduated high school (even rarer for women in 1930s ). Abuelo was a working class tailor.
