#FDA is concerned about pathogens like these in any pet food. This lot of pet food poses a serious threat to human/animal health. If you have Hare Today Gone Tomorrow Ground Chicken/Bones/Organs, lot 12.04.2018, stop feeding it to your pets.

There are several steps consumers should take to reduce the risk of infection to human and animal health. Start by throwing away the product in a secure container where other animals cannot access it.

Today #FDA is announcing new guidances to help companies develop a REMS Assessment Plan to improve the quality of the information used to assess the program’s effectiveness and provide evidence the REMS is meeting its risk mitigation goals. My statement https://t.co/XEyocylBRf

#FDA’s primary risk management tool for Rx medicines is communicating through FDA-approved product labeling, to ensure that the benefits outweigh the risks. In some cases FDA may determine a REMS is also needed - programs designed to support safe use of a medication.

Clean where product was stored; clean and disinfect all bowls, utensils, food prep surfaces, pet bedding, toys, floors and any other surfaces that the food or pet may have had contact with. Also, clean up pet’s feces in yards or parks where people or other animals may be exposed

Last summer, #FDA learned and reported that some generic versions of the ARB class of medicines contain nitrosamine impurities that don’t meet the agency’s safety standards. Since then we’ve launched a cross-functional investigation that continues today. https://t.co/9QpxhZJ9X9

When coupled with social, medical and psychological services, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is often the most effective approach for opioid dependence. One way #FDA is encouraging access for wider MAT use is through the approval of generic MAT drug products. #stopMATstigma

Measles is a feared & highly contagious childhood malady. Once largely vanquished in U.S., it’s resurgence is an avoidable tragedy. Vaccines like MMR are safe and effective.
