Project Description

Provide all infrastructure necessary to supply and build 16.8 km of asphalt surface course road

Project Goals

Reason for Project:This project will provide access to the Mehtar Lam fire station and improved roads for urban areas. Improvement of the existing dirt track and creating of new roads will improve access to essential government, medical, and educational facilities for the people of Mehtar Lam city and Laghman province. 

Desired Project Effects:

Provide sustainable transportation for the people of Laghman province to access critical government, medical, and educational facilities. A reliable, safe, access road will allow access by the people of Laghman to critical facilities and access by fire, medical, and police emergency services personnel to the city of Mehtar Lam and Laghman province. Provision of the infrastructure to support governance and access to medical and educational facilities will undermine the root causes of insurgency.

Measurable Effects:

Improvement of the existing dirt track and asphalt paving will improve access to essential government, medical, and educational facilities for the people of Mehtar Lam city and Laghman province.
