We don’t need one or two extra stations or an extension of this to that. We need a transit system that connects communities everywhere in NJ to each other. We need the full course meal of transit options & dessert.

@SethHuling @upzonenj A project on that scale has enormous benefits though: It would employ tens of thousands, add billions of $ (if not trillions) in productivity to our local economy, improve air quality, reduce CO2 emissions, & save lives. I believe there are a mountain of benefits vs the costs.

@SumitAndTheCity Part of what the machine does is play a circular blame game. I can’t do anything until the feds make a move. I can do anything until the Gov says so. That’s the mayor’s job. It’s the county’s job. All it is is dodging accountability to make it impossible for change to happen.

The paradox of politics is that it drives big egos to tell you “Vote for me I’m your savior” or “Vote for me I have all the power” or “Vote for me I have all the ideas” while saying they’re a person of the people. But it would be arrogant for me to say I’m somehow better.

Your rights shouldn’t be held hostage by the whims of an unelected body that serves for life. This country shouldn’t go to war first then ask for permission later. Extremely popular policies shouldn’t be ignored b/c arbitrary map lines insulate officials from accountability./3

It’s perfectly reasonable to feel frustrated, but Manchin, Sinema, & their conservative friends are mere bumps on the road to justice. 70% of Americans agree w/ us. We’ve already won the argument & they know it. No oppressor can stifle the people’s cries for freedom forever.
